Seven o'clock Last Chance to Dance

Do you dance? There is a song that says, "I hope you dance." Although music has never been a huge part of my life, dancing always has been, and I hope it remains that way. I remember watching my parents dance in the barn, in the kitchen, anywhere at all; helping my brother learn to dance and trying not to laugh my butt off because his hands were sweaty and Mom made him wear a sock on his palm; teaching my hubby to waltz before our wedding; jitterbugging with my dad on his 75th birthday; and a hundred other little things like that. So do you dance? Does it bring you joy or would you rather sit it out? Are you a worm kind of person or is the polka more your speed? Share the good, the bad, and the ugly because this is your last chance to win.

  1. I adore dancing. One of my favorite memories is when my dad used to dance with my sister and me in the kitchen. I can get my husband to dance with me once in a while, but I love family weddings when the polka is guaranteed and the uncles are all too happy to dance :)

  2. My parents got together because my Dad was an excellent dancer, and my Mom mistakenly thought he'd be as considerate in life as he was in dancing. Until he passed away, the only time they weren't fighting is when dancing, when she had to let him lead! I love to dance, but married a wonderful man who, despite being 100% Polish, can't even polka! So 6 days a week I go to a Jazzercise class, which lets me dance, do a daily cha-cha, and get my ya-yas out while exercising! Win-win!

  3. Glad you found a way to dance, Fiona. There is hope for your Polish guy. ;-) Hubby learned to dance for our wedding. Now, he can jitterbug, but I have to reteach him the rest every time we go to a dance because we don't go often enough. He's is always game though so reteaching becomes half the fun.
